Elizabeth Y. McKenzie

Libba McKenzie has practiced law for over four years and works at McQuade Byrum on both family law and employment/personnel law cases.

Ms. McKenzie comes to the practice of law after an extended career as a paralegal. In November 2001, she was honored as the first recipient of the Fairfax Bar's "Pro Bono Paralegal of the Year" Award. She also founded the Paralegal Section of the Fairfax Bar. During law school, she served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Judge Gayl B. Carr in the Fairfax Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. Upon graduation, she worked at the firm of Colten Cummins Watson & Vincent PC before joining McQuade Byrum in June 2010.

Ms. McKenzie is devoted to helping clients resolve difficult issues and utilizes a wide range of options to do so, including negotiations, mediation, and the colloborative law process, as well as litigation.
